DONT TRY THIS AT HOME!! I was taking a MASSIVE risk when deciding to remove my extensions and cut my own hair (with some help from a few friends;)) But was fully aware of the risks involved and decided that this was the method I felt most comfortable and confident with! I know this video may not be the most informative, exciting or well done, but I filmed it as it happened and just wanted to share the experience with you all. My hair has been a MAJOR stressor in my life the last couple years and there has been so much going on behind the scenes that it felt SO. DAMN. GOOD. to take control and get to the point where I could just say "f*ck it, it's just hair!" The salon I was going to charges upwards of $1000 to reinstall and removal is around $400! I wasn't willing to pay that amount of money for something I didn't feel comfortable or confident with. They were insanely uncomfortable once they started to grow out (after only about a week) and made my head so itchy that it resulted in scabs around the tapes:/ They were A LOT of work to style and wash and on days I had to wash & style them it added 3-4 hours to my routine and this momma aint got that kind time! Being that I had so many tapes installed and its hot as balls outside, I found the tape on my extensions to get tacky and it would leave my head feeling moist and always felt unclean! YUCK!
