Here are the final four minutes of President Kennedy's speech delivered to the American Newspaper Publishers Association, on April 27, 1961, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. Excluded from this speech are a few opening remarks, a brief introduction, and a lengthy first point, wherein Kennedy addressed specific concerns over national security and the press, during the cold war era. In his second point however, Kennedy speaks to the press about the importance of honesty in reporting, and the important role of the media in democracy.
